London-based duo Arctic Lake have dropped their latest track, ‘My Weakness’. Through Emma Foster’s dulcet vocal tones and the glittery production of Paul Holliman, they’ve created an emotive track that fizzes with emotion and meaning. “It’s a love song,” says Foster. “There’s fear of rejection interwoven in there because that feels like a very universal fear surrounding the story of human love. But ultimately it’s a song about worshipping someone and telling them whether you win or lose because they deserve to know how special they are.” Their take on alt-pop is filled with shimmering synths and punchy drums that drop in and out at powerful moments that expose Foster’s airy lead vocal.
